Although not directly related to iOS development, one of the most surprising and unfortunate pieces of news I read this past week was that Tobias Frere-Jones, one half of the renowned type foundry Hoefler & Frere-Jones was suing his business partner of 15 years for what he sees as his fair share of half of the company.
